Build, Grow, & Learn With Us!
Sage Stoneman will be facilitating this workshop where we will build a circular timber-framed cob community pavilion and realize our dream of a sacred space for healing with fire, water, and the land.
You’ll learn practical skills to build a structure with natural and reclaimed materials. We will learn to work with cob (clay, sand, and natural fiber), tree trunks, branches, stone, and found materials from the surrounding community. This is an opportunity to empower yourself to create ecologically-integrated and functional art that defies conventions and inspires others to do the same!
This workshop is for you if….
you’re considering building a natural structure, want to try natural building as a career, want to connect with like minded people and spend quality time in nature, or are just curious to try something new!
We will discuss theory and design, address specific questions, and most of our time will be spent engaging in real time building processes! There will be tasks for all skill levels and physical capacities, and you are always welcome to step back and witness. We will also focus on natural building as a form of therapy and healing, and as a way to connect with your organic creativity and embodied inspiration. Together we will explore what becomes possible when we engage with life and with nature from a perspective of collaboration and stewardship.
Experience the growth and inspiration of living on land in community with folks from across the region and the nation

ABOUT SADIE JANE
Sadie lives in Ojai, CA. She is a student in a natural building and has been learning and creating alongside Sage Stoneman for several years now. She has had the privilege of collaborating on projects with artists and builders from the West coast, to the Appalachian mountains, to the Chilean coast in South America. Sadie Jane believes that shelter is a fundamental human right and sees natural building as a form of creative expression, and as a pathway to empowerment, well being, and connection to the living world.

So come and join us as we share meals, connect with the land, & meet new friends and collaborators as we build a beautiful new community healing space in the Gulf South. We can’t wait to meet you 🙂
