At All You Need, we’re convinced that those who wish to live in harmony with the earth we must practice cooperative economics that align with the Solidarity Economy Principles. For us, this means rigorously and consistently experimenting with new ways of exchanging our knowledge, resources, energy, and time that honors the principle of ayni, or sacred reciprocity.

One of the ways that we practice this is being transparent about our finances and consistently seeking to have straightforward conversations about money. We have found that being open and honest about taboos like how much things cost, how much money we have, what our financial goals and liabilities are, and how we are choosing to spend our money is key to building trust with our collaborators and developing fruitful exchanges. We believe that through honesty and transparency we can dispel the isolation, competition, judgment, and distrust of each other that capitalism instills in us.

So this is the first of what we plan to be seasonal transparency reports so that our operations, short-term and long-term goals, and financial positions can be clear for all who desire to be in relationship and reciprocity with the land and our community here. It is our hope that with this understanding and sharing, you can be inspired to support our activities and join us in the experimentation and discovery that trying to exchange resources in a new way can bring forth.
